Blogging Questions

  • Who is writing it?
  • Why?
  • How often do they make posts?
  • What are the posts about?
  • How long has it been running?
  • What visual images and other types of media are used?
  • What kinds of links are there?
  • How could a blog influence people?
  • Could the blog have any political implications, and if so what are they?

1.            Go to www.guardian.co.uk and explain how this site uses blogs.
                                                                             
2.            Give 5 reasons why someone might create a blog.

Fast Forward BMX.
1.)  Mike King
2.)  To show BMX videos, products and photos to inspire people to take up BMX’ing.
3.)  He posts on his blog at least once a day.
4.)  The posts are usually photos of BMX’ing. But they also vary with different types of photography.
5.)  The blog has been running since March 2010.
6.)  The blog uses a variety of videos, images and quotes. Most of them are related to BMX things.
7.)  Web links to external websites that are related to the blog.    
8.)  A blog could influence people because it shows other people what they are interested in and gives them ideas to write their own blog.
9.)  No. the blog doesn’t have anything to do with politics.
10.)                     This site uses blogs to put across information rather than hobbies. It gives news on celebrities and political things going on in the world.
